Darla Trent, LPC, NCC

For as long as I can remember, I have been aware of the foundational importance of feeling both safe and connected within the family unit. I have worked hard to secure that sense of connectedness within my own family and feel it is an honor and privilege to help establish that same foundation within your family.
I am a nationally certified counselor (NCC-1532806) and licensed professional counselor in Idaho (LPC-8365). I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University and my Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University. I have an emphasis in Trauma, Grief, and Crisis as well as Play Therapy and am Level 2 trained in Internal Family Systems, a trauma-based modality.

I have successfully raised 6 kids and am happily married to my husband for 33 years. I have been involved with services to parents and kids through counseling agencies, schools, and nonprofit organizations since 1997.
My hobbies include spending time with my husband, children, and grandchildren and going on adventures to far away, and not so far away places. I like to bring home small tokens from my adventures and incorporate them into my everyday life through journaling, sand tray, art, crafts, and other avenues. In my spare time, I like to read self-help books, create my own original designs, and brainstorm my next new adventure.
